Piper Memorial Adult Swiss

This is the 3rd annual memorial tournament honoring former SCC President August Piper (1944-2024). It is held in conjunction with the WA Class Championships.

Format: 4-round Swiss in 2 sections: Botvinnik (Open) & Korchnoi (U1500). [may be merged depending on entries]

Time control: Game/120 + 30sec increment.

Rounds: Saturday 12:30pm & 6pm. Sunday 11am & 4:30pm. [The late start on Saturday is responding to concerns about commotion caused by earlier start of the main tournament. This arrangement better dovetails the Piper rounds with the main tournament rounds.]

Entry fee: $60 online by 11/27, 5pm at https://nwchess.com/OnlineRegistration. $70 onsite. $20 discount for SCC members.

Prize fund: $1000 guaranteed.
