SEATTLE SPRING OPEN

[Update 3/18/2025: We are at capacity with 80 players signed up and a wait list of 21. We cannot increase capacity due to fire regulations given to us by Seattle U. We encourage everyone who is registered to pay the entry fee by Thursday at 8pm to hold your seat. At that point we may start deleting unpaid registrations and offering those seats to the (patient, so far!) waitlisters. We will send out parking and other useful info soon. This year’s Seattle Spring Open is a 5-round Swiss in 2 sections: Open and Reserve (U1600).

Time control: Game90 + 10 sec. increment.

Rounds: 10am, 2 & 6pm on Saturday, 10:30am & 2:30pm on Sunday.

Prize fund: $1,500 based on 40 entries.

Prizes:

OPEN: $400 (1st), $260 (2nd), $150 (U1900), $90 (U1750)

RESERVE: $250 (1st), $140 (2nd), $110 (U1400), $70 (U1200), $30 (unrated)

Entry fee by 3/17: $65 SCC members, $80 others. After 3/17 add $10.

Venue: Seattle University, Sinegal Bldg., Room 100-110, 12th Ave. & E. Marion St. (southwest corner).

Max capacity: 80 seats.
