May Quads

3 round round-robin @ 10am, 2:00 & 6:00pm. 4-player sections based on close ratings.

Time control: Game/ 85 + 10 second increment.

Entry fee: SCC members $15, others $35. (Note fee for non-SCC members = $15 entry + $20 day fee.) Prepayment is required for Quads. We will notify you of payment deadlines.

Prizes: Each quad winner (or co-winners) get free entry to next Quads tournament played within 3 months. (Free entry = $15 tournament entry fee. Non-SCC members still need to pay a $20 day fee.)

Register at https://nwchess.com/OnlineRegistration. The tournament will be posted there soon. You must pay your entry fee within 72 hours of registering, or you will be withdrawn.

Check in: 9:15-9:45am. Please be on time! And please be prepared to play all 3 rounds. Withdrawals in round 2 or 3 disrupt the round-robin pairings and force others in a quad to take a bye they may not want. Thanks!

Venue: Seattle University, Center for Innovation (Sinegal) Building, room 110. (The building is at the corner of E. Marion St. & 12th Ave., Seattle 98122.) Max 40 players. Sign up early!

Note: Please sign up only if you are sure you are going to play, and pay your entry fee promptly. Don’t hold onto a seat you know you will not use! We are expecting a waitlist.

Refund policy: SCC is following WCF in charging $10 + Paypal/Venmo fees for refunds after withdrawals.
