SEATTLE FALL OPEN

- Format: 2 sections – Open and U1600
- Rounds: Saturday 10am, 2 & 6pm; Sunday 10:30am & 2:30pm
- Time control: Game/90 + 10 sec. increment
- Entry fee after 10/12: $70 SCC members, $100 others. Play up fee: see flyer at website below.
- Prize fund: $2,450 based on 60 paid entries. Will be increased depending on the final number of paid players.
- Venue: Seattle University, Pigott Building, Rooms 304-305
- Seats: 80 players max

When i tried to register for the event, in addition to the non scc member rate $90, there is another nwchess membership fee? Why is it? Thanks a lot.
Thanks for letting me know about this. I’ve contacted the owner of the registration site (it’s not SCC) and asked him to delete the NW Chess fee for our Fall Open event (and other SCC events). Looks like he has done so. I encourage chess enthusiasts to subscribe to NW Chess magazine; it’s a monthly magazine, 32 or 48 pages, that is chock full of local and regional chess stuff – upcoming tournaments, annotated games, photos of tournament winners, articles about chess, etc.

Is it USCF only or FIDE rated tournament as well?
The Seattle Fall Open is USCF-rated only. As of 10/14, 8pm some players have withdrawn and 10 seats are now available.
